End Of The School Year

We have been busy the last couple weeks of school.
Andrew had 5th grade track and field day. He did a couple events. His favorite was hurdles. He took 2nd place. I think he loved hanging out with all his friends. He is still playing baseball. His team is doing great. They only lost one game so far this season. He loves baseball. It is his favorite sport. He also just got his baby pigs for 4-H. He has to take care of them until Sept. Now that school will be done on Wed. he can spend more time working with them.

Caleb had a field trip to Teusink's Pony Farm. He had a lot of fun riding a pony, going on a hayride, & petting the baby animals. He started T-ball last week. Caleb is obsessed with baseball. He thinks in is a little boring. He wants to play at Andrew's level. He is used to playing with Andrew in the yard and watching his games. T-ball is a little to slow paced for him. His last day of school is Wed too.

Camping

Daddy & Kaitlyn being silly.
Good ole Daisy. She doesn't need any more s'mores.

Caleb enjoying a s'more.

Kaitlyn just likes to eat the Marshmellows plain.

Brayden just hanging out.

We went camping for Memorial Day weekend. We stayed close to home and went to Baldwin Oaks. We like going there because it is 20-30 minutes from home. It is perfect for the kids they have two big playgrounds and a nice pool. Now that Kaitlyn is getting older it is getting easier. We have a nice little pop-up camper and we love it. I think we will have to upgrade to something a little bigger in the next couple years as the kids get bigger. We always take Daisy our dog with us too. She loves camping, she gets more attention and loves sitting by the camp fires with us. She just hopes someone drops some food. I didn't get any pictures of Andrew because he is getting to that age when he makes some friends and play all the time. I think he spent all his time in the pool and playing basketball. I didn't even realize that I didn't get a picture until we got home. We love camping and can't wait to go more this year.

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken last week. They were overdue. I have not had individuals taken of the kids for almost 2 yrs. We had them scheduled for the day we had our car accident last fall and then we had to wait until spring to reschedule. We had them done by Captured Memories a lady named Jen. She did a great job. I have only got to see a couple of the pictures so far. She will have the rest ready sometime next week. I can't wait to see them all. It was a little crazy trying to get Kaitlyn to cooperate. She was more interested in throwing rocks in the stream. I still think they did a great job. She took about 300 pictures and she said she narrowed it down and after editing I will have 40-50 to choose from. That will be a hard decision. You can get a preview on her blog capturedmemoriesbyjandj.blogspot.com. I highly recommend her.

Tulip Time

We went downtown last night with the kids. We just went to Cenntinnel Park and took some pictures and ate some junk food. The kids love running around and playing tag in the park. When we got there the dutch dancing just got done so we didn't get to see any of that, but the crowds also left. I got a couple good pictures

What has been going on?

I know I have not posted in a couple weeks. We have been staying busy. Andrew started his baseball games. He has two already and they won both. He is having so much fun this year. We will have two a week until mid June. Caleb will play T-ball this year and he is very excited about that. I think he will start in a couple weeks and it only last about a month. The kids all love baseball. Even Kaitlyn likes to try to bat and play catch in the yard. Besides baseball we are trying to get ready for a garage sale in 2 weeks. Every year we have a big one in the Koops Well Drilling parking lot. Since Mark used to work there we get invited to join too. Everyone always does very well. I am going through the house trying to find things to sell. I need to price all of my stuff yet, I am putting it off because that is the worse part. Mark is going to be gone this weekend for a bachelor party in Chicago. It will be strange with him gone. I couldn't tell you the last time he was gone over night. Mark's sister Heidi and her husband Mark are coming home to visit in two week. We are getting excited to see them. In the midst of all this we are still in the process of fixing up a bedroom upstairs for Kaitlyn. We need to finish the trim and then have the carpet layed. We are so close to being done. I will post pictures when we have it finished. Then I will finally have a toy room on the main floor. I can't wait. I guess I have rambled on enough.

Kaitlyn's 2nd Birthday

I can't believe Kaitlyn is already 2 years old. It seems like yesterday she was born. It sure has been fun. It is kinda sad because my last little baby is not a baby anymore. She is growing into a sweet little girl with such a fun personality. Happy Birthday Baby Sister!!

This is Kaitlyn trying on the clothes Aunt Heidi and Uncle Mark got her. She decided to put on all the clothes she got over her dress. It was too cute.

Here is Kaitlyn enjoying some birthday cake.

She was not sure about the birthday candles she would not blow them out. Caleb had to help her.

She loved to open presents but she didn't want to rip the paper so she carefully untaped the packages and envelopes. She is sure different from the boys.

We got her a Barbie Jeep. We had it hidden behind the deck but when we were having the Easter egg hunt she found it. She was so excited and loved it.

Here are a few pictures from Easter.
