In Her Own Time

Kaityn sure has a mind of her own. She is extremely different from the boys I notice that more and more each day. I guess she has always done things in her own time. When I was pregnant with her I had false labor for the whole last month and we always thought she was stubborn then. She was the only one I ever had that with. She still doesn't talk much but she can let you know what she wants. I guess in her own time she will start to talk more too. This last week Thursday she decided she only wanted to wear big girl panties. She has been going on the potty since. This is day number 4. The first two days I would set a timer for 1 hr (so I would remeber) and then take her on the potty She only had 1 accident the first and second days. I don't need to set the timer now I just take her frequently. Sometimes she tells me and sometimes I just take her and she goes. She still has about 1 accident a day. I never had this with the boys they were all between 2.5 and 3 when they were potty training. I hope it keeps up. She has been interested in going on the big potty for a while now and she would go once or twice a day but I never pursued it much. We are going on vacation to Florida in 2 weeks and I thought when we got back we would work on it. I guess she is doing it in her own time. Hopefully it all goes well while we are traveling. I need to find a travel toilet seat that will fit on the public toilets so she doesn't have to touch the seat. I think this is a preview of her personallity. It could be good or bad down the road. We will see.

Our Weekend

We had a busy weekend. Sunday was Andrew's 11th birthday. How time flies. We had a party for him on Friday night. We went to South Side restaurant and had dinner. That is where Andrew wanted to go. Uncle Chad was cooking that night maybe that is why. We had cake and presents there too. I can't believe Andrew is getting so old. He will be in the middle school next year.

We got a new camera and I had to try it out this weekend. Here are a couple of the new pictures. I still have to figure out all the new gadgets it has. That will be fun. Kaitlyn is getting a little impatient with me right now so I better go.
